Roberta was born to Robert B. and Jean L. Hailstone on February 9, 1947, in Moosic, PA, and moved to Delaware with her family that same year. Roberta was raised in Marshallton, DE and graduated from John Dickinson High School in 1965. She went on to attend the University of Delaware where she met her future husband (Curtis Jones) on a blind date, they married 3-1/2 years later on February 1, 1969.
After graduating from the University of Delaware and Del Tech, she became a Registered Nurse and began her nursing career with the now Christiana Care Hospital specializing in Neurosurgery care. She then went on to be the Vice President and Director of Nursing with the Masonic Home of Delaware, retiring in 2009 to help raise her two grandchildren.
She was a multitalented person, gardening and growing flowers, competing in Trapshooting tournaments throughout the U.S. with her husband, and saltwater fishing in the Florida Keys.
Roberta was predeceased by her sister Lois DiVincenzo of Landenberg, PA.
She is survived by her husband Curtis Jones, children Victoria and Kimberly Jones, and two grandchildren all of Middletown. Parents Robert and Jean Hailstone of Landenberg, PA, Sister Julie Parrack (David) of Elkton, MD, Brother James Hailstone (Shirley) of Wilmington, DE., brother in-law Bruce DiVincenzo and numerous nieces and nephews.
