Born March 6, 1943, in Charleston, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Warren Milam and Ottie (Fields) Milam.
Bob was a hard worker. He enjoyed restoring vintage cars. His friends and neighbors kept him busy repairing their cars, trucks, tractors and lawn mowers. Mechanics was his passion. In his spare time, he also enjoyed home projects, making things with his hands, and visiting and drinking coffee with his family and neighbors on his back porch.
Bob is preceded in death by his father, mother, brother (Edgar Milam- US Army Veteran), his companion Chip the Chihuahua and his two best friends; Byard "Dick" Coleman of Dade City, FL and Kenneth Harris of Chumuckla, FL.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Dorothy "Dee Gee" Milam; along with two children; Robert (Brenda) Milam of Gatesville, TX and Allison (Derek) Wallace of Chumuckla, FL; two grandchildren, JimiRay (Geneva) of Seattle, WA and Stevie Lee (Anna) of Rapid City, SD; four great-grandchildren; seven brothers, one sister and many nieces and nephews.
Trahan Family Funeral of Milton will be entrusted with arrangements.
Funeral services for Bob will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at 3:00 pm with visitation at 2:00 pm at Trahan Family Funeral Home of Milton, Milton Chapel.
