Anthony Louis Pearson, Sr., "Tony", 46, of Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 2, 2017. He was born on March 17, 1971 in Sandusky to Arlene (Scarver) Pearson and the late Douglas MacArthur Pearson. Anthony was baptized at the Newtown Church of Christ at an early age, and the church has continued to be an appreciated source of support for Anthony and Kenny. Anthony attended Sandusky High School and graduated from the US Job Corps. He was a licensed barber. Anthony is survived by his mother, Arlene (Scarver) Pearson, of Montgomery, AL; three sons, Anthony Louis Pearson, Jr. and Tre'mar Amir Pearson, both of Sandusky, and Devron Hampton, of Milwaukee, WI; four daughters, Brianne Sharde Forney and La'Tayvia Kaprice Pearson, both of Sandusky, and Tyler Nathan, and Ta'Neiqua Monae Jackson, both of Birmingham, AL; four brothers, Scott Webb Sr., Keith (Tonya) Alexander Sr., Brandon Durr Sr. and Aaron Pearson Sr., all of Sandusky; two sisters, Darlene Alexander, of Sandusky, and Annie (Jonah) Forte, of Akron, OH; three grandsons, Jamier Ra'zhon Peguero, Karson Dior Lacey, and Migel Antoine Brown, Jr; granddaughter, A'Netra Ja'Nae Gracy; grandmother, Fannie Mae "Tiny" Ford, of Montgomery, AL; five uncles, LZ (Judy) Pearson, of Sandusky, Douglas (Vanessa) Ford, of Meridian, MS, Fisher (Velma) Scarver, of Montgomery, AL, Charlie Ford, of Tallahassee, AL, and James MacArthur (Joyce) Williams, of Lorain, OH; two aunts, Mary Sallie (Avery) Walker, of Fayetteville, NC, and Dorothy Jean Ford, of Jersey City, NJ; a loving and devoted great-aunt, Mary Churchwell, of Sandusky; great-aunts Annie Rogers and Laura Banks, both of Montgomery; godparents, Theodis and Bea Beckum, of Sandusky; god sister, Diane Baldwin; longtime friends, Troy Pickens Sr., Demar Gordon, Michael Coleman Sr., Marcus Boyd, Johnny Ellis, Tim Ivory, and Eddie Jones; devoted cousins, Tommy Joe Harris and Isaac Rogers; devoted friends, Teresa Chapman and Rhonda McCann; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Lamont Pearson, Sr., for whom he tirelessly sought justice and missed more than words could express; grandparents, Norman and Laura Alexander; great-grandfather, "Papa" Henderson Harris; great-grandmother, Annie Harris; aunt, Annie Pearson; uncles, Howard Harris, Sr., Robert Scott, Sr., and Curtis Ford; and cousins, Derrick Pearson, Darian Pearson, and Artis "Junie" Williams, III. Friends may call from 10 a.m. on Friday, August 11 until time of funeral services at 12 Noon at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce St., Sandusky. Rev. Franklin Churchwell will officiate. Entombment will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
