Jerry Stanly Phillips, 81, of Bessemer City, passed away on January 12, 2021, at the Brian Center in Gastonia.
He was born September 3, 1939, in Gaston County, son of the late Roy Phillips and Neva Willis Phillips.
Jerry served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
He retired from Terminal Trucking after 13 years of service.
Jerry is survived by his son, Patrick Fehrs and wife Allison; brother, Melvin Helms; grandchildren, Matt Weaver and wife Shannon, Cassie and Ashley Fehrs; great-grandchildren, Amelia Weaver and Rory Weaver.
In addition to his parents Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Splawn Phillips; his daughter, Pam Weaver.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, January 18, 2021, at Westview Gardens, 1123 Edgewood Rd. Bessemer City, with military honors provided by the US Army National Guard. Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
