Abigail Warren (Find-A-Grave Memorials 40957503 & 22102292)

In THE MAYFLOWER FAMILIES Through Five Generations,
Volume Eighteen Part 1, page 181, it states:
"On 27 Aug. 1794 Abigail Warren, spinster; Ezra Harlow, mariner, and Susanna his wife; Thomas Morton Jr. and his wife Ruth; Seth Harlow and wife Sarah; Philip Leonard of Middleborough and wife Hannah, agreed to the division of their mother's dower."

· Mother Sarah Morton Warren died in 1792.
· The 5 underscored names above are all the surviving children of Nathaniel & Sarah Morton Warren.
· Therefore Abigail Warren was alive in 1794.

Evidence supporting a birth date of 1753 and death year of 1832 for Abigail Warren are as follows:

· Richard Warren of the Mayflower and Some of his Descendants, Roebling, 1901:
ABIGAIL WARREN, b. 25 May 1753; living unmarried, 27 August, 1794

· Headstone at Chiltonville Cemetery:
In Memory of Miss Abigail Warren
Who Died June 3, 1832
aged 79 years

(That extrapolates to birth year of 1753.)

· THE MAYFLOWER FAMILIES Through Five Generations, Vol. 18, Part 1, Page 182:
ABIGAIL b. May 1753; d. bet. 27 July 1832 & 3 Dec. 1832; unm. The will of Abigail Warren of Plimouth, singlewoman, dated 27 July 1832, proved 3 Dec 1832, names Thomas Morton and ...

The above date of the will is actually incorrect if one examines the original will document below, one will see that the will was dated 27 July 1831, NOT 27 July 1832:

· On page 451 of Ancestry Database of the Massachusetts, Wills and Probate Records, 1635-1991 for Abigail Warren, Plymouth Probate Estate Files, 21829-21856 one can see the original document:

The hand-written will to which Abigail affixed her mark, is dated, "this 27th day of July in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and thirty one."

Therefore, we can conclude that Abigail Warren was most likely:
born: 25 May 1753 died: 3 Jun 1832 wrote her will: 27 July 1831
