FRANK L. BISHOP
Frank L. Bishop, 61, of Richvale died May 24, 1979 at Fort Miley Veterans Administration Hospital, San Francisco following a short illness.
A native of Bluejacket, Oklahoma, born October 5, 1917, he had resided on Main Street in Richvale for the past eight years. He had farmed rice for Horace Josiassen in the Richvale area for the past two years.
A veteran of World War II, he had served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church of Biggs.
Surviving are his wife, Maxine of Richvale; a son, Frank B. of Richvale; six daughters Darlene Adams of Richvale, Ethel Patterson of Napa, Roberta McCallister of Virginia, Kathie Karcher of Napa, Linda Cook and Wilma Dauphine, both of Las Vegas, Nevada; a brother, John of Chicago, Illinois; two sisters, Marguerite Harris of Blakewood and Jessie Richardson of Buna, Texas; and 14 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday June 1st at the Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel with Rev. Wayne Crawford of the Biggs Assembly of God Church officiating. Burial will be in the Gridley-Biggs Cemetery.
Visitations are welcome at the chapel from 9 am to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday. Memorial contributions in his name to the Biggs Assembly of God Church are suggested by the family.
