Obituary For Mr. Jewell Allen
Jewell Allen was born on December 10, 1940 in East Point, GA. He was the only child of the late LaFayette and Sadie Allen, Who also had six other children. At the age of 22 he started his career at PPG Industries in East Point, GA. In 2003 he made the decision to retire early from PPG after 39 years of employment; however many years later he returned to work for PPG. Jewell loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Neriah Baptist Church in East Point, GA. He later became a member of Mallalieu United Methodist Church in East Point, GA. until his illness wouldn't let him attend regularly. Jewell gained his wings peacefully on January 5, 2021 at the young age of 80. He Shared four children with the late Martha Allen: daughters, Trevia and Tanya; sons, Anthony (Mary) and Alan (Kimberly); twelve grandchildren; sixteen Great-grandchildren who will always cherish his life, love and memories. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to cherish his memories.
Celebration of Life for Mr. Jewell Allen will be held Tuesday, January 12, 2021, 1:00 P.M. at Gus Thornhill's Chapel. Interment will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial
