Barbara Lou Newton, 86, of Kerrville passed from this life after a short illness on Sunday January 3, 2021 in Kerrville. She was born in Roanoke, Virginia on May 3, 1934 to Harley and Vera McGrady. She had six sisters and one brother. Her surviving sister is Ruth Aiken of Troutville Virginia. Barbara was a member of the Kerrville First United Methodist Church since 2016.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wendell Pratt of Lynchburg Virginia, her husband, Derrall Lee Newton of Boise Idaho, and her granddaughter, Michelle Denise Pratt of Corpus Christi Texas.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory include son, Steven Pratt and wife, Debbie of Kerrville Texas; grandsons, Joshua Pratt and wife, Amy of Nampa Idaho and Justin Pratt of Portland Texas; granddaughter, Jennifer Mahan and husband, Derik of Portland, Texas. She is also survived by great grandchildren, Connor and Keeley Mahan of Portland Texas, Ezekiel Pratt, Jude Pratt, Nevaeh Pratt, and Evan Staley of Nampa, Idaho.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Kerrville Funeral Home.

Graveside Services will be held 10 AM Friday January 8, 2021 at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
