Mr. Richter, accompanied by his wife, Marian, drove his car in the direction of Appleton on Highway 150. At the Larsen crossing of the Chicago & Northwestern railroad, his auto slammed into a Diesel locomotive of a northbound freight train. Mrs. Richter was also seriously injured. She is still in critical condition. She suffered a fractured left leg, skull fracture and other internal injuries.

Survivors are two sons. Royal of this city and Adrian at home; and four sisters, - Misses Louise, Carrie and Mollie, all of Oshkosh, and Mrs. Helen Dunkel, Miami, Fla. Two sisters and a brother preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran church in Winneconne. The Rev. Harold Grunwald will' officiate. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery, Oshkosh.
Friends may call at the Spikes &; McDonald funeral .home during Monday evening beginning at 7 o'clock. The remains will be at the church in Winneconne Tuesday morning from 11 o'clock to the time of services.
