Albert J. Baader, 82, of 237 W. Water St., retired president of Homey and Chapman, died at 8 a.m. Thursday at Chillicothe Hospital following an illness of 10 days. On Oct. 11, 1947 Mr. Baader was elected to the board of directors of the Fidelity Building and Loan and on Aug. 9, 1966 he was elected vice president of the board. He was a member of St. Peter's Church, its Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus, United Commercial Travelers, and Rotary Club and was prominent in Boy Scouting, holding the Silver Beaver Award. A native Chillicothean, he was born on Sept. 3, 1886 to Charles and Teresa Hess Baader. On Oct. 18, 1916 he was married to Mabel Bowers who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Miss Kathleen Baader, Columbus, a son, William C. Baader, 724 W. Green St., Bensenville, Ill., six grandchildren, three sisters, the Misses Flora, Irma and Helen Baader, 276 W. Water St., and two brothers, Carl E. Baader, 224 Vine St., and Ernest Baader, Fort Lauderdale, Fla. He was predeceased by a sister, Mary Frances. Requiem High Mass will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Church with the Very Rev. Msgr. Julius G. Klinee officiating. Burial will be in St. Margaret's Cemetery.
