Center - John H. "Johnny" Cole, 55, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 29, 1995, at his home.
He was born Nov. 8, 1939, in Eunice, N.M., to the late Henry and Thelma Cole.
Johnny was a hostage during Desert Storm. He returned to Kuwait after the conflict but was home on vacation at the time of his death.
He is survived by his wife, Donnita B. Cole of Center; daughters, Laura Wilkinson and husband, Danny, of San Antonio and Michelle Lambert and husband, Bret of Odessa; sons, John Edward Cole and wife, Kim of San Antonio and Donavan Cole and wife, Jenni of Odessa; and 13 grandchildren.
He is also survived by a sister, Carol Parker of Odessa, mother-in-law, Ouida Biggers of Odessa; sisters-in-law, Eve Landers and husband, Don, of Fredericksburg and Victoria Holland and husband, Dudley, of Albuquerque, N.M.; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Mangum Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Hannah officiating. Masonic graveside services will follow at Borders Cemetery. Funeral arrangements by Mangum Funeral Home.
