Harold accepted Christ as his Savior and was a member of Greater Works Christian Fellowship.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife: Connie Fusilier Brooks of New Iberia, LA; four daughters: Zita Brooks Marks (Arthur) of New Iberia, LA, Pastor Harolyn Brooks Ledet (Odis) of Broussard, LA, Hillary Hopes (Justin) of Jeanerette, LA and Mary Guilbeau Smith of Opelousas, LA; two sons: Shanga Charles (Marie) of Coteau, LA and Brenton Broussard (Latashia) of TX; two sisters: Rena Brooks Johnson and Alvena Brooks Spencer of New Iberia, LA; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Dalton Brooks and Irene George Brooks; sisters: Hilda B. Charles, Eldora B. Thomas, Ruth B. James, Catherine B. Gregoire and Florence B. Darby and one brother: Cornelius Brooks, Sr.
