Jack Alden Bailey, 84, of Port Arthur, died Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at Senior Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing, Port Arthur. He was born May 25, 1936, in Nederland, to Ella Inez Defee Bailey and Homer H. Bailey.

Jack was a United States Navy veteran. In his younger years he enjoyed playing dominoes and cards. He loved to watch Western movies, especially, if they starred John Wayne. Jack also enjoyed watching the Houston Texans and Astros. Above all else, he loved to be around his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his children, Denise Fancher and husband, Jay, of Austin; Keith Bailey and wife, Susan, of Fannett; James Brown; and Lori Van Sickle and husband, Tom, all of Melbourne, Arkansas; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ella and Homer Bailey; first and second wives, Nancy Marie Bailey and Mabel Bailey; five brothers; three sisters; and a great-grandchild.

A gathering of Mr. Bailey’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, January 10, 2021, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
