She was born on June 26, 1941, in Nederland, Texas, to Homer Harley Bailey and Ella Inez Defee Bailey.
Dema was a dedicated member of the Altar Society and Catholic Daughters.
Survivors include her husband, John C. Hubert; son, John H. Hubert and his wife, Mitzie; daughter, Ellie Villalobos; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and brother, Jack Bailey.
She is preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; and two sisters.
A gathering of Mrs. Hubert’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with her Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 211 Hardy Avenue, Nederland, Texas.
