CUMBERLAND – Mary Irene Dunn, 82, of Cumberland, passed away to her Heavenly home with Jesus Christ on January 3, 2021, surrounded by family.
Mary was the daughter of the late Bernard and Ruth (Stevens) Creegan. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mildred Mattingly-Scott; brother, Bernard Creegan; and her daughter, Sharon Mawhinney.
Mary was a graduate of Ursuline Academy and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Our Lady of the Mountains Parish. She was a homemaker and was last employed by Friends Aware. In younger days, Mary, along with John, enjoyed roller dance skating and bowling.
Mary is survived by her devoted spouse of 62 years, John Dunn; children, Linda (Virgil) Campbell, Patricia (Douglas) College, John (Brenda), Rita (Larry House) Cage, Michael (Virginia), Terrance (Suzy), Christopher (Gina), Paul (Tammy); son-in-law, David Mawhinney; 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be private with a memorial mass to be held at a later date.
