Jack Abbott, age 60, of Ralls, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2020. He was born September 4, 1960 in Dallas, Texas to Royce and Glenda Williams Abbott. He started dating his wife Kerry Toliver in 1997 and married her on April 25, 2003.

Jack was a 1979 graduate of Palmer High School. He was a US Army Veteran and served proudly as a Military Officer, September 1982-September 1985. He was a Law Enforcement Officer with over 30 years of successive experience and over 20 years as a supervisor. After his service in the military, Jack began his law enforcement career with the Mustang Ridge Police Department and transferred to the Killeen ISD Police Department September 1989 – March 1992. He then earned the title Police Sergeant/Senior Sergeant and served at the Round Rock Police Department April 1992 – February 2011. During October 2011 – August 2016 he was a Lieutenant –Precinct 1 for Williamson County in Georgetown, Texas. Jack ended his law enforcement journey in Ralls, Texas where he served as the Chief of Police February 2018 – February 2020. Jack was a true Texan who was very proud to be from the Lone Star State. Upon his retirement, Jack enjoyed his time off and cheering on his three favorite teams, the Texas Longhorns, Dallas Cowboys, and the Texas Rangers. He will be dearly missed by his friends and loved ones.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Kerry Abbott of Ralls, his son Corbett Davis Abbott of Ralls, and his three siblings; Joyce Haid of West Virginia, Damon Abbott of Florida, and Tisha Nendell of Texas, and several beloved nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held for Jack at 12:30 PM, Thursday, January 7, 2021 at the Faith Baptist Church in Round Rock, Texas.
