Robert Miller Barrett, 88, of Ochlocknee, GA, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Funeral Services will be held at Whiddon Shiver Funeral Home on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at 2:00 pm with David Roberson officiating. Interment will follow at Little Ochlocknee Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 6th from 5:00 pm - 7:00pm in the funeral home chapel. Pallbearers will be; Grant Golden, Grant Golden II, Andrew Taylor, and Coby Barrett.
Robert was born in Pine Park, GA (Grady County) on November 22, 1934 to the late Edgar Paul Barrett and Evie Lee Miller.
He married Joyce Inez Johnson who preceded him in death on July 25, 2010.
He worked for Sunnyland Foods and was a member of Little Ochlocknee Baptist Church.
He is survived by; his daughter, Paula Barrett Golden of Myrtle Beach, SC, siblings, Randall Barrett of Whigham, GA, and Paulette Barrett of Cairo, GA, grandchildren, Coby Barrett of Leesburg, GA, Andrew Taylor of Myrtle Beach, SC, Lauren "Blake" Taylor of New Bern, NC, and Grant Golden II of Myrtle Beach, SC, great-grandchildren, Barrett Presley Adams, Kassidy Taylor and Calhan Adams all of New Bern, NC.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by; a son, Robert Timothy Barrett- FAG #176153923, a sister Oren Tucker, brothers Edwin and Tracy Barrett.
