Obituary.
Died at the residence of S.S. Potts in Bluff City Thursday, March 5th, at 10:15 p.m., after a long sickness and suffering, Reuben J. Beebe.
Mr. Beebe was born in Caslin County, Ohio, June 2nd, 1824, was enrolled in Co. K 39th Iowa Vol Infantry on August 22nd, 1862, and discharged June 5, 1865, by reason of expiration of term of service.
He leaves five children, four of whom reside here, Mrs. McNamar, Mrs. Melton, Mrs. S.S. Potts and Clyde Beebe. Mrs. Powers, who resides in Nebraska, arrived a few hours before he expired, but he was unconscious.
The funeral conducted by the G.A.R. Post according to the rites of the Order was held at 3 p.m. Friday.
