Monday December 21, 2020 Ethel Johnson (Hammons), loving mother of five children, passed away at the age of 83.
Ethel was born on November 6, 1937 in Bakersfield, CA. to Joseph and Rena Peters but grew up in Arvin, CA. On June 29, 1956 she married Bill Hammons. Divorced in 1984. Ethel remarried Troy Johnson of Las Cruces, NM. Ethel and Bill raised 5 boys, Tim, James, Kenny, Ceven and Billy Hammons. Ethel had a passion for music and church. She loved playing her piano, organ, accordion and singing for church and her bands. She brought a smile to everyone and touched the hearts of many.
She is survived by sisters, Mae Howard and Jody Dean. Son's, Tim, James, Kenny, Ceven and Billy Hammons, 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Proceeded in death by her brothers, Thes, Eddie, Pete, Raymond, James and Bob Peters. Sisters, Juanita Horner and Lahoma Maxwell. Grandchild Brian Hammons.
