He was a native of Lincoln County, son of the late Willie Osborn and Lou Nellie Houser Wilkinson, retired local driver from Carolina Freight Carriers after 37 years of service, member of Hebron United Methodist Church, Vale, Cherryville Masonic Lodge 505 AM&FM, York Rite, Merchant Marines veteran of World War II.
SURVIVORS: Wife of 58 years, Bonnie Walker Wilkinson; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Becky Wilkinson, Cherryville; brothers, Coyte Wilkinson, Shelby, Tunney Mack Wilkinson, Denver, Hilda Becker, Gastonia; grandson and wife, Shea and Angela Wilkinson, Cherryville; great-grandsons, Austin Slade and Cain Wilkinson.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: Grandson, Slade Wilkinson.
BURIAL: City Memorial Cemetery will full Masonic Rites.
