He was born on April 11, 1925, in Koshkonong, Mo., to Clarence and Clara Huff Morgan. He married Lee Ann Lewis in 1946 in West Plains, Mo. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Cleo (Donna) Morgan of Republic, Mo., and Cally (Diane) Morgan of Peoria.
Three daughters, Mrs. Lloyd (Freddie) Hockenbury of rural Washburn, Mrs. Keith (Phyllis) Fosdyck of Metamora and Mrs. John (Wilma) Elser of Delavan survive. Also surviving are 11 grandsons; one granddaughter; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Joely (Aileen) Morgan of Liberty, Mo; and one sister, Mrs. Bobby (Ruby) Brazeal of West Plains, Mo.
He was preceded in death by one infant son, Jerry, one sister and nine brothers.
A World War II Army veteran, he participated in the D-Day Normandy Invasion. He worked for Caterpillar Tractor Inc. in interplant transportation as a truck driver, retiring in 1979 after 30 years.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, 2007, at Mason Funeral Home, Metamora Chapel. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Further visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Linn Mount Vernon Cemetery in Washburn, where military rites will be accorded.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
