WELLINGTON - Annie Bowen, 84, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, in Wichita Falls.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ricky Carstensen officiating. Burial will be in North Fairview Cemetery by Adams Funeral Home of Wellington.

Mrs. Bowen was born on April 9, 1923 in Vinson, Okla., to George Dewey and Emma Manney Ellis. She married James R. Bowen on July 12, 1947, in Wellington. He died in 2006.

She served in the Marine Corp. during World War II. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the Chapparal Sams RV Club. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter Jan Tyler and husband Bill of Olney; a son Reece Bowen and wife Sharon of Childress; a brother, Darrell Ellis of Lubbock; a sister, Noveta Holton of Tyler; four grandchildren: Brandon and Josh Tyler, and John and Steve Bowen; and three great-grandchildren: Ainsley Tyler, Cheyenne Bowen and Haleigh VanAusdale.

The family suggests memorials be made to First United Methodist Church, 901 Bowie St, Wellington, TX 79095.
