He was born in Westmoreland, VA, on December 16, 1938, son of the late Floyd & Vern Davis.
Ray is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Louise J. Davis; four children, Cathy D. Hash & her husband, Steve of Nokesville, VA, Diana Johnson & her husband, Bill of Amissville, VA, Leslie R. Davis, II & his wife, Laura of Sumerduck, VA and James E. Davis & his wife, Heather of Woodbridge, VA; nine grandchildren, Heather, Renee, Amanda, Jessica, Emily, Leslie III, Jessica, Michael & Olivia; and six great grandchildren, Tara, Andie, Jayden, Molly, Chloe & Ariadne; and half-sister, Joanne Purgason.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Davis.
The family will receive friends at Moser Funeral Home, 233 Broadview Ave., Warrenton, VA from 1 pm until the service begins at 2 pm, on Tuesday, January 5th, 2021, in the funeral home chapel. Interment at Catlett cemetery.
