Mrs. Emily Rachel Ham Kelly, age 71, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at Atrium Health Union.

She was born September 2, 1949, in Union, SC, a daughter of the late Gettes Ham and Emily Redman Ham and was the wife of the late Franklin D. Kelly.

Mrs. Kelly retired from the Disney Distribution Center. She made mats for the homeless and enjoyed working to help them any way she could. Mrs. Kelly loved going to the mountains. Her family remembers her as a loving mother and grandmother who cared for them dearly. Mrs. Kelly was a member of the Church of Christ in Lancaster where she taught a lady’s bible study class. She was a faithful Christian.

Mrs. Kelly is survived by her son, Shannon Ham (Tansy); a grandson, Gavin Ham; a brother, Van Ham; four sisters, Gladys Henderson, Ruby Livingston, Shirley Vanderford (Buddy), and Lennie Ham; many nieces and nephews; a large extended family; and her church family.

Mrs. Kelly was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Kelly; and her parents; a brother, Gettes Ham, Jr.; two sisters, Ruth Moore, and Martha Ham Lovely; and two brothers-in-law, Reese Henderson, and William Livingston.
