Children: Ann Elizabeth (Marshall), Kevin, Michael, Steven, Lisa Jane (passed away at 3 days old), Lisa Jane (Armstrong).
Mum suffered a stroke in 2017 and battled to gain her dignity. She fought and gained strength to lead a somewhat normal life. Unfortunately in February 2020 cancer took its hold and as it was so aggressive there was nothing we could do but be there for her.
We pulled together as a family right to the end, she would be very proud.
On Tuesday 10th March the cancer fought too hard for our mum to cope with. She was sedated and on pain medications right up until she passed away peacefully at home, with us by her side, on Saturday 14th March 2020. Mums wishes were to be at home with her family. She was at home and was aware of this.
Marie Curie cared for our mum 4 times a day. They made sure she was comfortable. But more than that they were amazing with us when they visited. They listened to our stories, they treated mum with the respect and dignity she deserved. We cannot thank them enough for all the support they provided to our family.
