Son of Charles Robert and Bessie Jon Humpston Ray.
survived by his daughter, Sharlie (David) See, grandsons, Matt, Scott, and Brett See, granddaughter, Brittney (Ryan) Robinson, three great grandchildren, Malia, Aislynn, and Kalluhm. Other family includes, Dusty Rhodes, Ted Ray (Patti), and Sheila (Mike) McCormick.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son; Charles William Ray II, siblings, Joseph Ray, Jean Carrington, JoAnn McClellan, Robert Ray,and Betty Dillman.

Member of St. Bernards Catholic Church in Crawfordsville.

Over the years he worked for the Ladoga Canning Factory, did some farming, worked for the railroad, built grain bins, and did finish carpentry work.

He enjoyed playing pool, visiting with his neighbors, riding motorcycles, and working on them in his garage, inventing and being creative, working with his hands, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Graveside service 11am Wednesday, December 30 at Ladoga Cemetery with Father Bower officiating.
