Barbara Brem, age 80, of Waco, passed away Sunday morning, December 27, 2020 at Providence Hospital in Waco.

A rosary will be recited 4:00 p.m. Friday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, followed by visitation until 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 2, 2021 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with Rev. John Boiko as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery near West. Very limited capacity, facial masks, and social distancing are required at all services.

Barbara was born May 22, 1940 in Penelope, the daughter of the late Daniel and Leona (Trlica) Nors. She attended school in Abbott and was a graduate of Abbott High School. On June 11, 1960 she was united in marriage to Marvin Brem in Abbott. Barbara was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. She was also a member of St. Joseph's Parish Club in Bellmead. Barbara held many jobs throughout the years including being a seamstress, bookkeeper, and working at the Baylor concessions stands. Barbara and Marvin also worked as bingo operators and volunteers at Geneva Hall for over 50 years. She enjoyed polka music, going to the casinos, her dog Smoky, and watching Lady Bears basketball. Barbara was known as a people person and loved spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 60 years, Marvin Brem of Waco; her son, Larry Brem and wife Jo Ann of West; brothers, Eugene Nors and wife Mary Ann of West and Danny Nors and wife Alicia of Trenton; grandchildren, Jackie Brem of League City and Lance Brem of Temple; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers are Lance Brem, Richard Urbanovksy, Hunter Hansen, Jeff Nors, Dale Sembera, and Dwayne Uptmor.
