Mrs. Georgia Barnes Horton a lifelong resident of Chester, Arkansas until 20 years ago when she moved to Susanville, California, died Thursday night, March 10, 1966 in a hospital in Susanville, California. She suffered injuries from a fall at her home on March 3, 1966 and complications set in.

Survivors are her husband, Ben Horton; three sons, John Barnes of Chester, Otis Barnes of Cedarville and Dave Barnes of Cove city; Six daughters, Mrs. Lizzie Ranny, Mrs. Ellen Ramey, Mrs. Julia Faddis and Mrs. Dicie Jackson, all of Susanville, California, Mrs. Myrtle Hart of Sacramento, California, and Mrs. Orvie Hester of Tulsa, Oklahoma; One sister, Mrs. Julia Kimes of Susanville; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The body arrive in Van Buren, Arkansas Tuesday for the funeral service which was held at 2 p.m. at Morrison Cemetery followed by burial. Gilbert and Rupert Pixley were the officiating ministers. Arrangements were under the directions of Ocker Funeral Home.

Casket bearers were Earl Rippetoe, Earl Wells, John Elkins, Wallace Gann, Emmett Cluck and Lenis Zinnamon. Honorary bearers wer Jewel Bowen, Everett Cluck and Robert Satterfield.
