Anthony Craig “Tony” Henderson age 54 passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020, at his home.
Tony was born in Prince George’s County, MD, and was preceded in death by his father Richard Henderson; his paternal grandparents George and Nancy Henderson; his maternal grandparents Harvey and Edith Church; cousin Brent Edward Goodman.
Tony graduated from Wytheville Community College with a degree in criminal justice. He was retired from the Virginia State Police and a member of the State Police Association. Tony was a very giving person who never met a stranger and was always willing to help. He was a very kind and a loving husband, father, son, and brother who made us all a better person for him having been in our lives.
Survivors include his wife Allyson Paige Henderson; son Alec Henderson; mother Carole Henderson; sister Sherri Henderson and fiancée Jimmy Hawthorne; brother Mike Henderson and wife Melissa; nephew Trey Hawthorne; several aunts uncles, cousins, and many friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at the Bradley’s Funeral Home Chapel in Marion with Pastor Mike Sage officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery. Bradley’s Funeral Home is serving the Henderson family.
