Her first husband, Robert Paterson, was a brother of Elizabeth Paterson, the first husband of Jérôme Bonaparte, the youngest brother of the Emperor Napoleon I. Following his death, she was married at Dublin, Ireland on October 29, 1825 to Richard Wellesley, 1st Marquess Wellesley. She had no children by either marriage.
