David Dermont Floyd, age 79 of Lexington passed away suddenly Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at his home.

David was born in Davidson County on November 15, 1941, to Foy Dermont Floyd and Roxie Greer Floyd.

David loved car sales and parts and old buildings on the farm. He was owner and operator of Floyd’s Used Auto Parts and Cars and enjoyed all the people he came in contact with over the years. He will be missed by his family, friends and the community.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving are his wife Bonnie Bowers Floyd of the home; other loving members of his family; special friends Ethan Hedrick and family and Grady Hedrick and family.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at Becks Reformed Church Cemetery with Rev. Zach Hall officiating. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing and face masks are requested for the service. Memorials may be made to Becks Reformed Church, 2845 Becks Church Road, Lexington NC 27292 or to Davidson County Cattleman's Association, Scholarship Fund, 301 East Center Street, Lexington, NC 27292.

David Dermont Floyd, age 79 of Lexington passed away suddenly Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at his home.

David was born in Davidson County on November 15, 1941, to Foy Dermont Floyd and Roxie Greer Floyd.
