Kathleen Adams

Reno - "Goldie" Kathleen (Rupp) Adams passed away peacefully on December18, 2020. A descendant of a Utah Mormon pioneer family, Kathy's grandparents came over the plains as children in the 1800's. Kathy was born in Reno, Nevada and lived her entire life here. She attended Orvis Ring Elementary, Northside Jr. High, Reno High School and the University of Nevada Reno. Kathy worked for the Washoe County School District and the Nevada Air National Guard, in addition to being a housewife. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, St. Mary's Guild and Volunteers, and the LDS Relief Society. In her younger years, Kathy enjoyed waterskiing, snow skiing, swimming and painting. She was a long-time member of the LDS Church, 4th Ward. She is preceded in death by her parents Jack and Thelma Rupp, sisters Shirley Harwood, Cleo Suhayda and Irma Fritchen, brother Courtney Rupp, daughter Tamara Larralde and husband Wayne Adams. Kathy is survived by her son Mitch Larralde, step-daughter Leslie Adams, granddaughters Lauren Hish and Megan Larralde, and numerous nieces and nephews. Kathy will be interred with her husband at Mountain View Cemetery in Reno. In respecting her wishes, memorials may be made to Shriner's Children's Hospital. A celebration of life will be scheduled once friends and family are able to safely gather together again.
