Janet attended school in Pittsfield, and after marrying Konrad, they started a family. She was a loyal military wife who worked various jobs and supported her husband’s military career while travelling Europe and raising six children. Janet was very creative and brilliant at designing floral arrangements, even owning her own business at one time. Janet had a passion for gardening and enjoyed tending her flowers and landscaping and creating a haven for birds in her yard. She loved antiques and was an avid collector and also enjoyed buying and selling her finds. Janet was a compassionate woman and truly devoted to her family. She was very giving and loved spoiling her grandchildren while teaching them morals.
She is survived by two sons, Gary (Tina) Butler of Napoleon, MO and Darren (Shannon) Butler of Lebanon, MO; four daughters, Ann (Shannon) Butler-Jones of Pittsfield, IL, Cheryl Butler of Pittsfield, IL, Christine (Tibi) Zsapka of Fort Worth, TX, and Connie (Lonnie) Cook of Eldridge, MO; twenty grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; one brother, Clayton Butler of Pittsfield, IL; one sister, Judy Fox of Pittsfield, IL; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Konrad Butler; a grandson in infancy, Cale Broderick Shelton; sister, Joyce Ruble; and brother-in-law, Robert Fox; and nephew, Jeff Fox.
