Dwight Daniel Ward, age 58, passed away Monday, December 21, 2020, at North Carolina Baptist Hospital.

Dan was born April 8, 1958, to the late Rev. James and Evelyn Ward.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Nathan Ward and Ted Ward.

He is survived by his wife Sarah Ward of the home, three sons and daughters-in-law: Scottie and Samantha Ward, Jimmie and Shonda Ward, Chris and Sarah Pridemore all of Max Meadows, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law Mark and Lanora Ward of Max Meadows, Virginia; sisters and brothers-in-law: Brenda Denson of Eden, North Carolina; Barbara and Wade Lawson of Shallotte, North Carolina; Martha and Homer Norman of Fries, Virginia; Teresa and Richard Goodman of King, North Carolina; Rita Blevins of State Road, North Carolina; Donna Ward of Ivanhoe, Virginia. Six grandchildren Savannah Ward, Austin Ward, McKenzie Ward, Kaylee Ward, James Ward and Jayden Ward also survive along with several nieces and nephews and special friend Donna Kitts.

Graveside services and burial will be held Sunday, December 27, 2020, at 3:00 PM in the Cold Springs Cemetery, Ivanhoe, Virginia with Rev. Steve Alderman officiating. There will be no visitation. Due to CDC recommendations, masks and social distancing will be required.
