Mrs. Jessie May Darling, 68, of Tiffin Towers, died Oct. 14, 1983 in Medical Center Hospital following an extended illness. She was born Sept. 26, 1915 in Ross County to Henry and Clara Shoemaker Steele.
She was the wife of Fred Darling, who survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Jose (Ruth) Deluna, Alice Bailey, and Virginia Frye; three sons, Albert Darling, Arthur Darling, and Clarence Darling; 22 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ed (Dorothy) Childers and Mrs. Blanche Kinzer; and a brother, Irvin Steele.
She was predeceased by a son, Larry; a daughter, Sylvia; a sister; and a brother.
Funeral service 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Ware Funeral Home, with the Rev. Edward Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in the Twin Township Cemetery.
