Benjamin Alexander Purks, eighty-three years old, a Confederate soldier and ex-captain of the Richmond Fire Department, died at his residence, 1811 East Grace Street, at 10:45 o'clock Thursday night.
The funeral will take place from the residence at 11 o'clock this morning. Interment will be in Hollywood Cemetery.
