She was retired from Pekin Plastics and had also worked for Williams Nursing Home and Bata Shoe Factory. She was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband: Robert Humphrey, five brothers: C. Leon, James Dale, Harold, Melvin, and Thomas Howell, three sisters: Patty Lou Howell, Norma Gabbard, and Beverly Ledford, and her parents. umHum
She is survived by her daughter: Karen Pate (William) of Corydon, a step-son: Billy Humphrey (Kathy) of Salem, a brother: John Howell of Salem, a half- brother: Irvin Lee Howell of Michigan, a sister: Katheryn Hunter of Linden, 3 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 3 step-great-grandchildren, and 5 step-great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11AM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4-8PM and Tuesday from 9AM-time of service.
