Mrs. Lucy Vivian Davis Grant, age 83, passed away November 30, 2020, at WakeMed Hospital in Raleigh.
Born January 3, 1937, she was the daughter of Ebern and Sallie Fields Davis.
A native of Greene County she enjoyed working in her garden and flowers and sewing for family and friends. A loving mother she always made sure her children’s needs were met and supported them in their sporting events.
Her surviving family includes a daughter, Patricia G. Edwards, and husband, Dennis of Kinston; sons, Frank Grant and fiancé Andrea Grant, and Chris Grant both of Snow Hill; a sister, Betty D. Vaughn of Kinston; brothers, George Ray Davis of Kinston, Earl Davis, and wife, Lexine of Grifton; grandchildren, Clay Edwards and wife, Andrea, Jared Edwards and wife, Sarah, Summer Grant, Adrionna Grant, and Gustavo Grant; great-grandchildren, Emma Edwards, Ava Edwards, and Laura Edwards.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Reubin Grant; son, Mickey Allen Grant; sister, Audrey D. Brown; and brothers, Will Davis and Alton Lee Davis.
Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, December 3rd, at the Snow Hill Cemetery with Reverend Ronnie Heath officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery and other times at the home of Frank Grant in Snow Hill.
