Marum Rites Held in McIntosh

Funeral services for Andrew Marum were held Saturday, August 13, at Mt. Carmel Lutheran Church. Rev. Ralph Rokke officiated and the Reese-Hoialmen Funeral Home of McIntosh was in charge of arrangements.

Andrew Marum was born May 2, 1897 to Ole and Susan Marum at McIntosh. He was baptized and confirmed at the Bethel Lutheran church and attended rural school near his home. He also attended the Minnehaha Academy in St. Paul. After finishing school, he came back to Sletten Township and farmed with his family and continued farming until he retired about five years ago. He spent the last two months at the McIntosh Manor Nursing Home. He was a long time member of Bethel Lutheran Church.

Andrew Marum passed away Monday, August 8, 1877 at the McIntosh Manor Nursing Home at the age of 80 years, 3 months and 6 days.

Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Matilda Drydahl, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Gertrude and Anna and one brother, John.

Casketbearers were Ted Neset, Albert Neset, Hubert Stardig, Elmer Wardeberg, Ingvald Grundyson and Ordean Fosse.
