George Henry “Putt” Bryant Sr., 64, was born December 27, 1955 in Sulphur, Louisiana to the late Ira and Lee Esther Ryans Bryant Sr. Born Putt was a graduate of Westlake High School and a former employee of LRM Railroad Company. He departed this life Monday, December 14, 2020 in his Houston residence. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Carla Bryant; two daughters, Reneka (Phillip) Turner and Keyana Malbrough; son, George (Brandi) Bryant Jr.; six sisters, Linda (Ernest) Budwine, Dorothy Bryant, Victorian Bryant, Dora (Donald) Pryor, Vera Thibodeaux, and Marsha Ann Thurman; three brothers, Wilford, Joseph, and Brady Bryant; nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren; two god daughters, Destiny Holmes and Brittany Arvie and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by son, Anthony Broussard; parents, Ira and Lee Esther Bryant Sr.; four brothers, Lester, Wilbert, Ira, and Mark; and three sisters, Nancy, Joann, and Lovenia. His visitation will be from 10:30AM Wednesday, December 23, 2020 with his funeral following at 11AM at Greater Freeman Church of God in Christ, 2627 Hodges St, Lake Charles, Louisiana. Pastor Donald Carlton will officiate.
