She married Loren Spear, April 22, 1927 in Turton, Spink County, South Dakota.
She worked as a nurse (LPN) at the Naval Hospital in Bremerton, Washington (working in new born nursery); and, retired after about 30 years.
She crocheted baby layettes for the Mission Program at First Lutheran in Port Orchard. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Port Orchard.
She is survived by son - Ernest A. Spear (& wife, Roma) of Bremerton; brother - Leo Getsgo (& wife, Dorothy) of Sturgis, South Dakota; sisters - Ruby Smith (& husband, Bernie) of Portland, Oregon, Mary Beltzner of Petaluma, California, Verna Baker of Delevane, Wisconsin; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 4 great/great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: son - Lawrence Spear, daughter - Evelyn Young, granddaughter - Susan Spear, brother - Walter Getsgo, sisters - Laura Pelto and Esther Bunnell.
