Rob was born February 15, 1964 in Ringgold, LA and went to be with his Lord and Savior December 14, 2020. He grew up in Ringgold, LA, and graduated Valedictorian of the Ringgold High School Class of 1982. Rob was also Mr. RHS and very involved in school activities. He graduated from Louisiana Tech University where he was a proud member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He went on to Louisiana State University Veterinarian School Class of 1991.

After years of practicing in New Jersey and Texas, his roots brought him back to Louisiana permanently. He started Equine Track Associates in 1994. Dr. Corley’s Racetrack Practice was extremely successful; he is known as a top-notch equine veterinarian. His main professional interests were the Thoroughbred Racehorse industry, lameness evaluations, radiology, ultrasound, and pre-purchase exams. He enjoyed keeping his patients happy, healthy, and free of pain. He strived to provide his clients with accurate diagnoses while maintaining the high level of customer service.

He had many names-Big Rob, Doctor Rob, Dr. Corley, Doc Rob, Uncle Rob, and lately Little Rob; but no matter which name you knew him by, he was always the same to everyone. He was bigger than life with a gracious and giving spirit. Rob was always smiling and fun to be around. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and deep-sea fishing. One of his passions was playing poker and he hated to lose. Rob loved people and they loved him. He will be missed by so many.

Rob was preceded in death by his dad, Robert P. Corley, Sr. Left to cherish his memory are his mother Jeannette Corley of Bossier City, LA (formerly of Ringgold, LA); four sisters, Christi Horton and husband, Glen of Bossier City, LA; Suzi Bergeron and husband, Jim of Wisconsin Rapids, WI.; Paula Marx and husband, Paul of Lafayette, LA; and Marti Engstrom and husband, Rich of Severna Park, MD; fiancé and love of his life, Ginger Pickett of Arcadia, LA. He had several beloved nieces and nephews, extended family, and a multitude of friends and colleagues.
