Mrs. Virginia Thompson Baity, 86, the widow of Henry Clay Baity, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. One of 11 brothers and sisters, she was born May 11, 1921, in Winston-Salem to the late Willie Edward Thompson and Mary Violet Lee Thompson. She was a graduate of Mineral Springs High School and a charter member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church. Mrs. Baity was employed by R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. and retired from Northwestern Bank. She is survived by two sons, four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. In addition she is also survived by a brother, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends who will truly miss her. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative CareCenter, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
