MARQUETTE, MI – Mark Albin Robertson, age 50, of Marquette, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2020.
Born May 7, 1970, in Marquette, a son of Ronald and Gail (Patron) Robertson, Mark was raised in Marquette and was a 1988 graduate of Marquette Senior High School. He very early on developed a lifelong love of electronics and technology. This resulted in him pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Technology from Northern Michigan University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. Mark was a very gentle and loving man who assisted in the care of his father and then his grandmother prior to their passing, and remained a devoted, caring son to his mother.
Mark liked to stay connected to his family and friends through social media. He was an active member of the Hiawatha Amateur Radio Association as well as an active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, where he had also participated in Bible study classes. His other interests included chess, cycling, and reading in his younger years; while in later years, he enjoyed walking and spending time on his computers.
Mark is survived by his mother, Gail; his three siblings, Debbie (Gary) Asano of Marquette, Paula (Donald) Schmeltzer of Greenville, Todd (Shari) Robertson of Sault Ste. Marie; nieces and nephews, Megan and Mallory Asano, Heidi (Nicholas Gill) Schmeltzer, Peter (Kelly) Schmeltzer, Jacob (Emily) Schmeltzer, Daniel (Tamara) Schmeltzer, Timothy Schmeltzer, Holly, Haley, and Staci Schmeltzer; Melina and Aliah Robertson; and two great nieces, Kate and Emma Schmeltzer. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald, and his grandmother, Elma Robertson.
Private family services will be held. Burial will be at Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Redeemer Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 1700 W. Fair Avenue, Marquette, MI 49855.
