Mrs. Ada Rogers, the daughter of the late Mr. John and Mrs. Elizabeth Franklin, departed this life in Clarendon Memorial Hospital on Sunday morning, January 30, 1966 after an extended period of illness. She spent the most of her life in the St. Charles area of Lee County.
During her early life, she joined St. Mark Baptist Church. She served this Church very faithful until she fell in declining health many years ago. She was a good neighbor to the people of her community. To know her was to love her.
She leaves to mourn her passing: five (5) daughters, Mrs. Ada Lewis, Mrs. Jannie Davis, Mrs. Hattie Davis, Mrs. Lou Hannibal, and Mrs. Carmella Hannibal; three (3) sons, Mr. William, Bossie and Walter Rogers; forty-eight (48) grandchildren, one hundred and two (102) great grandchildren, one sister, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
