W.P. Timms,78,Dies Sunday
William Patterson Timms, 78, died Sunday evening after a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon at the Shiloh Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Clifford Chandler and Rev. Roy Gilliland. Members of the Caledonia Lodge will serve as pallbearers. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery with the Roberts Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Timms is survived by three sons, Paul, Joe and Gordon Timms; three daughters, Mrs. Jim Reed, Mrs. Frank Gentry of Tallapoosa and Mrs. H.E. Benfield of Statesville, N.C.; two brothers, Jesse and S.S. Timms of Cedartown, 32 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. (The Cedartown Standard, Thursday, Mar 12 1951)
