Mitchell James "Dike" Duncan, 93, of Robinson, Texas, formerly of Wyoming, Ill., died Saturday, June 24, 2006, at Regent Care Center in Woodway, Texas.

He was born Feb. 6, 1913, in Osceola, Ill., the son of William James and Martha E. Forbes Duncan. He married Dorothy Duff Chamberlain on July 31, 1938, in Muscatine, Iowa. She died March 14, 1994, in Peoria, Ill.

Surviving are one son, Thomas (and Patricia) Duncan of Robinson, Texas; and one brother, M.L. "Bud" Duncan of LaGrange, Ill.

His parents; two brothers, John Duncan and Emmet Duncan; and one sister, Mary Ringstrom, preceded him in death.

He was a lifelong farmer and was a livestock buyer throughout central Illinois. He was a member of various saddle clubs in central Illinois.

Burial will be in West Jersey Cemetery in West Jersey, Ill.
