Kathryn Wernli Clark, 90, passed away peacefully on December 10,2020 with family by her side.

Kathryn Elizabeth Wernli was born October 4, 1930 to Willie and Elise Wernli in Coupland, Texas.

She was a proud Taylor Duck and graduated from Taylor High School in 1948. She went to work shortly after as an Operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone.

On November 1, 1951 she married the Love of her life Johnny A. (Gus) Clark in Bartlett, Texas.

They moved to Houston in 1959 for Johnny’s work. She excelled at her new role as wife and mother and all that it implies. After Johnny’s retirement in 1982 they never spent a day apart, enjoying 68 years of marriage until his passing in February of this year.

She is preceded in death by her parents Willie and Elise Wernli, her husband Johnny A. Clark, three sisters and brother in laws, Lydia and Gottfried Haverland, Alice and Edmund Racz, Willadean and August Prcin. Three Brothers and two Sister in laws, Edgar and Doris Wernli, Clarence and Lou Wernli and Billy Wernli. Brother in laws Billy Clark and Clyde Blackmon.

Survived by two sister in laws Francis Wernli and Dorothy Faye Blackmon. Son John W. Clark. Two Grandchildren Shelby Clark and Katie Clark. Numerous nephews, nieces, friends and family.
