Sandra Snyder Johnston, age 76 of Westlake, LA passed away on Tuesday November 17, 2020. Sandra was born in Sulphur, LA on September 13, 1944 to Franklin Snyder Sr. and Wordnia Farris Snyder.
Sandra was a native and lifelong resident of Westlake, LA where she graduated from Westlake High School Class of 1962. She was a member of Westwood Baptist Church. She retired as a secretary from the Calcasieu Parish School Board. She also served as a secretary at First Baptist Church in Moss Bluff, LA.
Sandra enjoyed spending time with her family, working in her yard and cooking for others. One of Sandra’s greatest gifts was her ability to unconditionally love everyone and her desire to serve the Lord and those around her.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 58 years, Wade Johnston of Westlake, LA; one son, Rick Johnston and fiancé Christine of Butte LaRose, LA; one daughter, Denise Whitley and husband Bryan of Westlake, LA; one brother, Frank Snyder Jr. of Westlake, LA; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Sandra is preceded in death by parents, Frank Sr. and Wordnia Snyder; two sons, Albert Wade and Dennis Roy Jonhston; one sister, Beverly Snyder.
Pallbearers will be her grandson’s.
Services will be 2pm Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Bellview Baptist Church. Rev. Jaceson Johnson will officiate. Visitation will begin at 10am until time of service. Burial will follow at Westlake Memorial Park Cemetery. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
