Steven “Steve” Michael Baker, age 58, of Marshalltown, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020.
Per the wishes of Steve and his family, cremation rites have been accorded and no formal services will be held at this time. Mitchell Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Steve and his family.
Born April 2, 1962 in Iowa City, Steve was the son of Robert and Carole (Hill) Baker. He graduated from North Shore High School in Houston, TX and after moving back to Iowa, worked at Corteva in Toledo. When he wasn’t working or spending time with family, he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and going fishing.
Left to cherish his memory is his fiancée, Candie Vergauwen of Marshalltown; his daughter, Kelli (Kenneth) Wagner of Houston, TX; stepdaughter, Truly Dommer of Marshalltown; mother, Carole Baker of Legrand; brother, Chris Baker of Newton; grandson, Justin Wagner and several nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.
